The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGee lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Lewis shoots in looking for a takedown. McGee tries to sprawl out of it but Lewis keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. McGee manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
McGee swings and misses with a hook to the body.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

This is turning into a torrid day at the office for Lewis. He's trying desperately to land a takedown but he's failing miserably and getting slapped silly on the feet to compound his misery.

Lewis changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McGee looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

McGee wants to get back to his feet but Lewis drags him back down.
Lewis wants to lay and pray for a moment but McGee keeps working.

McGee is trying to buck Lewis off.
McGee is working to avoid the ground and pound but Lewis connects with a decent elbow.
Lewis is looking to take a break and control but McGee is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if McGee can do anything to dispel that myth.

Lewis wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by McGee, who protects the arm well.

Lewis has an Americana. McGee didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Lewis is delighted and gyrates infront of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Lewis hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
