De Qfc tries to land a front kick but Mcbasketball steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
De Qfc is looking to land body kicks.

Mcbasketball shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Mcbasketball showed some decent athleticism there.
Mcbasketball works his foot free and advances to mount.
De Qfc wants to hold on but Mcbasketball pushes him away.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mcbasketball tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
De Qfc tries to get back to half guard but can't.

De Qfc is trying desperately to improve position.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

De Qfc wants to control but Mcbasketball is having none of it.
De Qfc is controlling an arm, preventing Mcbasketball from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.

Mcbasketball has hold of De Qfc's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and De Qfc manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Mcbasketball looking to secure an arm triangle but De Qfc defends it well.

De Qfc is looking to improve his position but Mcbasketball isn't that keen on the idea.
De Qfc wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
De Qfc trying to control the position but Mcbasketball manages to sink in the hooks.
Mcbasketball really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Qfc. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
De Qfc is trying to break free.
De Qfc manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mcbasketball's guard. Nice work there by De Qfc.

De Qfc is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Mcbasketball is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
De Qfc stands up over Mcbasketball, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

De Qfc shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

and Mcbasketball counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Mcbasketball.

De Qfc is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Mcbasketball. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.

Mcbasketball got a little sloppy there for a moment and De Qfc has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Mcbasketball has managed to get both his arms back between De Qfc's legs - danger averted.

De Qfc escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Mcbasketball gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Cranjis Mcbasketball has got the better of the ground game so far.
Let's hope that Mcbasketball has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Mcbasketball is posturing up here but De Qfc has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Mcbasketball tries to roll out but it's too tight and Mcbasketball has to tap! Slick submission there by De Qfc!
