Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Jose Pacheco (ranked 3099 p4p, 1717 weight class) and Ken Miller (ranked 167 p4p, 99 weight class). Miller has chosen 2pac - Im A Souljah as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 26 - 0, fighting out of London, Jose Pacheco!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Miller!
The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Yuuki Gou.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Miller.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Miller has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Pacheco regains guard immediately.
Miller stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Pacheco swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Miller is looking to work some ground and pound but Pacheco has wrist control.
Miller not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Miller drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Pacheco manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Miller has Pacheco in his guard.


Miller had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pacheco defends it easily.

Miller has his foot on Pacheco's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pacheco works his way back into a safe position though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Miller escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pacheco gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Miller throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Pacheco escapes and throws Miller's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Pacheco throws out a loose jab but Miller uses good head movement to avoid it.

Miller has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pacheco is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Miller.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well, with Miller on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Pacheco is tapping out... Can he escape the position?

Miller is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but Pacheco has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.

I would just about give that final round to Ken Miller.

After the fight, Ken Miller was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
