Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eric Dungey (ranked 1122 p4p, 613 weight class) and Simon Gustafsson (ranked 160 p4p, 87 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Dungey throws an overhand right that lands on Gustafsson's shoulder, as Gustafsson tries to avoid the shot.

Gustafsson shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Dungey manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Gustafsson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dungey swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Gustafsson drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dungey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dungey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dungey!

That was a close round but I would say that Eric Dungey will probably get the nod.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Dungey drops Gustafsson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Gustafsson looks back up at him and smiles so Dungey waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Gustafsson drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dungey dives on top into guard.

Oh but Gustafsson is tightening it up a little... Dungey has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Dungey reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Dungey taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gustafsson!
