Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ty Knight!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, James Duke!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Steve Montenegro.

Knight closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Duke quickly recovers to half guard.

Knight is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Duke wants to get back to his feet.
Duke has hold of Knight's hands but Knight slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Knight scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Duke is trying to stand up here but Knight is controlling him well.

Knight seems to be looking for submissions.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Knight lands a nice short elbow.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Knight connects with a nice short shot to Duke's temple.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Knight looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Duke tries to kick Knight off but Knight keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Knight stops Duke from getting back to his feet.

Knight is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Duke doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Knight.

Knight is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Duke is just riding it out for now. Knight eventually gives up the hold.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Knight bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Duke pushes Knight away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Knight gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Knight lands a big left to the face of Duke, bouncing his head like a basketball. Another shot from Knight and another - Duke is out! Knight stands up and salutes his fans, who are going crazy in the stands.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:49 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Ty Knight!
Ty Knight decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
