Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Quinn Diesel (ranked 5631 p4p, 5282 weight class) and Jason Hightower (ranked 95 p4p, 137 weight class). Hightower is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: The Power. Jason Hightower told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Diesel connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Diesel just misses with a punch to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Hightower! But no joy.
A cross from Hightower lands.

It looks like Quinn Diesel has been cut.

and Hightower counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Diesel jabs Hightower to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Diesel looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

That kick from Diesel tenderised Hightower's leg. Hightower is trying to keep his angry face on.

and Hightower counters with a perfectly timed counter left hook that drops Diesel to the mat, face first! Hightower goes to the neutral corner and waits for the referee to start the count. Diesel is back to hise feet already though and looking to continue the bout! Exciting stuff!
Quinn Diesel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hightower uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Diesel.

Diesel glances at the clock... BAM! Hightower nails him with a big right hand! A momentary lapse in concentration sends Diesel crashing to the mat! The referee steps in and this one is over! Damn, Diesel is out of it, he thinks the ref is his opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:10 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jason Hightower!
A relieved looking Jason Hightower thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
