Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jean Blanc (ranked 24756 p4p, 24529 weight class) and Chris Junkie (ranked 469 p4p, 498 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Blanc is defended easily by Junkie.
Blanc jabs Junkie right on the nose. Junkie blinks but takes it well.
Blanc works the jab nicely.
Junkie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Junkie shoots in for a double leg but Blanc sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Blanc throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Junkie is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Junkie tries to close the distance and clinch up but Blanc swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

We've been hearing reports that Blanc has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Junkie ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Junkie no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Blanc is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Junkie rolls with it to try and escape but Blanc cranks on the arm and Junkie is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
