Benitoy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sweet Child O' Mine. John Michael Benitoy has the better chin. The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Mauricio Rocha.

Cerrahoglu closes the distance and clinches up with Benitoy, looking for a takedown. Cerrahoglu pushes Benitoy against the cage but Benitoy circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Cerrahoglu has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Benitoy has Cerrahoglu pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Benitoy pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Cerrahoglu tumbling to the mat - Benitoy dives into Cerrahoglu's guard.

Cerrahoglu is looking to stand back up but Benitoy counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Cerrahoglu.

Benitoy is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Cerrahoglu is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Cerrahoglu is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Benitoy scores with a couple of nice shots.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Benitoy has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Cerrahoglu is in a horrible position here. Benitoy smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Benitoy postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Cerrahoglu in real trouble here! The ref calls for Cerrahoglu to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). John Michael Benitoy!
