Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Fung Yulan (ranked 6047 p4p, 6669 weight class) and Gertrude Montgomery (ranked 451 p4p, 0 weight class). Fung Yulan has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Yulan fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Montgomery to the ground. Yulan is now in Montgomery's guard.
Montgomery wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Yulan manages to pass to side control.

Yulan seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Montgomery's chin but Montgomery turns very nicely into Yulan's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Montgomery.

Yulan remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
Yulan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Fung Yulan.
