PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Teppo Taavitsainen (ranked 6602 p4p, 3907 weight class) and Mickey Molton (ranked 579 p4p, 458 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Molton's choice of entrance music: Faneto. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Molton shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Taavitsainen counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Taavitsainen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Molton swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Taavitsainen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Molton on the ground.

Molton had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Taavitsainen defends it easily.

Taavitsainen lands a big uppercut and Molton crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Molton looks OK. Taavitsainen waves Molton back to his feet!
It looks like Taavitsainen has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

A very excited looking Teppo Taavitsainen rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
