The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Solis closes this distance looking for a takedown but Nickal circles away.
Solis misses with a takedown attempt - Nickal sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Nickal shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Solis napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Solis seems a little lost for a moment, as Nickal dominates the positioning.
Nickal seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Solis for as long as he can get away with.
Nickal has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
