Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buddy Barnett (ranked 237 p4p, 255 weight class) and Yves Trudeau (ranked 35 p4p, 37 weight class). Barnett's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Move. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.

Trudeau scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Barnett shapes like he's going to throw a leg kick but settles back down.

Barnett shoots for a double leg takedown but Trudeau sprawls well. He's pushed Barnett's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Barnett tries to close the distance and clinch up but Trudeau swats him away and circles back towards the center.

We've been hearing good reports from Barnett's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Barnett connects with a nice short shot to Trudeau's temple.

Trudeau throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Barnett sees it coming and avoids it easily.

It looks like Buddy Barnett has been cut.
Barnett tries to clinch but Trudeau is having none of it.

Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Barnett.
Trudeau throws a fast counter high kick but Barnett manages to duck under it in time.

BOOM! Trudeau lands a beautiful left hook that drops Barnett. Barnett tries to recover but Trudeau is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Barnett lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
