Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Howlin Wolf (ranked 617 p4p, 77 weight class) and Heavy Rain (ranked 78 p4p, 10 weight class). Rain has chosen For Heavy Metal we will die! as his entrance music. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Rain ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
A low kick from Wolf misses
and Rain counters with a left and a right that stings Wolf.
Rain checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Rain thows a body kick. Wolf tries to catch it but that hurt him.
Wolf rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Rain counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Nice defenses there by Rain.
Rain uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Wolf.
Wolf throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rain.
We've been hearing reports that Wolf has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Nice straight punches there by Rain. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Rain.
Wolf swings widly with a right hand
and Rain counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wolf lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Rain circles away quickly and effectively.
Rain looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Wolf takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

and Rain counters with a nice uppercut.
Rain tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

letting Rain counter with a right hand.
Rain lands a nice looking body shot.
Rain lands with a kick to the ribs.
Rain works Wolf's body with a nice hook.
Rain lands a right hook to the body.
Rain comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Rain throws a nice inside leg kick.
Rain stuns Wolf with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Rain is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Wolf misses with an uppercut
and Wolf takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Rain drops Wolf with a straight right hand, right on the button! Rain follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!

Heavy Rain spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
