Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Gaizka Elizondo (ranked 5083 p4p, 23024 weight class) and Sigi Pesalelei (ranked 573 p4p, 534 weight class). Elizondo kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Peewee Longway & Money Man - Ooowwweee. Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

Pesalelei is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Pesalelei's coach down at XXX was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Pesalelei's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Pesalelei uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Elizondo.
Pesalelei unleashes a big counter combination but Elizondo bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Pesalelei takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Elizondo fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Pesalelei manages to avoid it.
Elizondo turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gaizka Elizondo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Elizondo lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Elizondo feints a jab promting Pesalelei to slip. Elizondo then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Pesalelei slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Elizondo goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Elizondo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Pesalelei back to the ropes. Elizondo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like Sigi Pesalelei has been cut.

and Pesalelei counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Elizondo onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.

and Pesalelei counters with a beautiful right hand that knocks Elizondo out cold! What a finish! Pesalelei is going crazy, running around the mat, summersaulting off the corner posts and screaming into the cameras. Something tells me he's pretty happy!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Sigi Pesalelei!
After winning the bout, Sigi Pesalelei thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
Gaizka Elizondo was interviewed post fight and said 'ill be back at 25'.
