Jones fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Anderson sprawls well initially but Jones persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jones is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Anderson is just riding it out for now. Jones eventually gives up the hold.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
David Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jones wants it to stay on the feet.
Anderson shoots for a double leg takedown but Jones sprawls well. He's pushed Anderson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
