Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Khalabib Magomedov (ranked 4735 p4p, 4941 weight class) and Maxim Strepnev (ranked 480 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Strepnev fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Strepnev misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Horrible takedown attempt by Strepnev or perhaps it was just good defense by Magomedov, which made it look bad.
Khalabib Magomedov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Maxim Strepnev.

Strepnev is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Magomedov stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Magomedov wants it to stay on the feet.
As Strepnev looks to move away, Magomedov throws a big counter combo but Strepnev just gets out of the way.

Magomedov tries to score with some ground and pound. Strepnev controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Strepnev is looking for a kimura but Magomedov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Strepnev to get the leverage.

Strepnev is keen to just control but Magomedov is a slippery customer.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Strepnev seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Magomedov will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Magomedov cracks Strepnev with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Magomedov has gone for a leg lock! Strepnev slips out almost immediately though and dives into Magomedov's guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Magomedov manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Strepnev keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.
Come on Strepnev - let's have some action - none of this stalling nonsense.

Strepnev tightens his grip and picks Magomedov up, before dumping him to the ground. Magomedov manages to land in guard.

Strepnev might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Magomedov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

That was a close second round but I would say that Khalabib Magomedov will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Magomedov is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Strepnev is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Magomedov creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Strepnev sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Well Magomedov has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
