PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Lidel Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alexander Jones (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Alexander Jones!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Winston Howard.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Castro.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Castro pinned against the cage. Castro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Alexander Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Castro waving his hands out infront of him, looking to distract Jones.
Jones takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Castro misses with the combination.
Jones closes the distance and clinches up with Castro, looking for a takedown. Jones pushes Castro against the cage but Castro circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Castro throws a hook to the side of Jones's head but Jones sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Castro throws a jab when Jones was well out of range.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jones.
Lidel Castro has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Alexander Jones.
Jones walks into a jab.

It looks like Alexander Jones has been cut.
Castro misses with a looping right.
Jones defending well as Castro loads up on a big left hand.
Castro scores with a jab to the head.

Castro scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jones doesn't seem bothered though.
Lidel Castro is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Jones shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Castro pinned against the cage. Castro gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Castro scores with a nice strike.
Jones shoots in and drives through. Castro sprawls well.
Jones looks gassed!
Castro cracks Jones with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Jones shoots in looking for a takedown. Castro tries to sprawl out of it but Jones keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Castro manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Jones tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Castro swivels and escapes.
Castro stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
Castro is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Jones.
Castro cracks Jones with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Jones looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Castro finish him?

Jones is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Castro drops Jones with a straight right hand, right on the button! Castro follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
