Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Islam Petrov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Diego Rivera!

Petrov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Petrov shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Rivera really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Petrov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Petrov drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rivera manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Petrov has Rivera in his guard.
Petrov escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Rivera gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Diego Rivera showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
