Umada moves in looking to clinch but Dubois pushes him off.
Dubois misses with a looping right.
Umada with a lazy takedown attempt
and Dubois counters with a nice body shot.
Umada shoots in but Dubois avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dubois lands a nice shot that snaps Umada's head back.

Damu Umada seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Dubois cracks Umada with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Dubois has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Umada to stand back up!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Umada shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Umada was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Umada is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dubois is surviving well by controlling Umada's body position as best he can.
Dubois is in a horrible position here, under a barrage of strikes, he's managing to avoid any damage.

Dubois is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
Umada has the hooks in. Dubois is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Umada has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
So, who will make the next big move? In this position it could be crucial.

Lavelle Dubois dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Dubois lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Umada at a distance.
Dubois throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Umada stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Umada tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Dubois paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Dubois appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Dubois paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Dubois throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Dubois takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dubois avoids the head kick by Umada.
Umada gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Dubois gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
