Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tomoe Gozen (ranked 440 p4p, 533 weight class) and Lazy Bastard (ranked 54 p4p, 62 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Bastard throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bastard throws a looping overhand right but Gozen ducks down to avoid it.

Bastard has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gozen uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Bastard.
Bastard is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Bastard misses with a double jab
and Gozen counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The crowd cheers as Bastard lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gozen doesn't seem phased though.

Lazy Bastard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gozen buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Gozen, as that shot connected.

Gozen throws the left hand but Bastard avoids the punch easily.
Gozen is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bastard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Bastard thuds his right hand into Gozen's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.

Gozen ducks right into an uppercut from Bastard.

Gozen gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.

Bastard looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Bastard throws a perfectly timed hook that sends Gozen crashing down! Gozen tries to stagger back to his feet but Bastard just hammers him until the ref stops the fight! A confused Gozen asks the ref what just happened. Poor fella.
