The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice lands with a nice combination. Grecosaurus backs away looking to recover.

It looks like Pentti Grecosaurus has been cut.
Grecosaurus on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Slice. Slice obviously looking to wear him down.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Grecosaurus drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Slice knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Grecosaurus on the ground.

Grecosaurus changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slice tries to avoid it but Grecosaurus manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slice to the ground. Slice escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Let's hope that Grecosaurus has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

No joy there for Slice, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Slice throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Slice lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Grecosaurus backs up against the cage.
Grecosaurus closes this distance looking for a takedown but Slice circles away.

Grecosaurus feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
