Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kapitan Bomba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mark Kiel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kapitan Bomba has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mark Kiel!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Wesley Smith and Frank Dennis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kiel throws a nice looking combination but Bomba bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Kiel scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


It looks like Kapitan Bomba has been cut.
Kiel misses with a two punch combination.

Bomba shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Bomba was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Bomba cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Kiel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bomba. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Kiel is desperately trying to improve his position but Bomba has a good base and remains in mount.

Bomba has control of Kiel's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Kiel regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Kiel is bucking up trying to escape but Bomba cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Kiel's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
Bomba has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Bomba blocks Kiel's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.
The referee warns Kiel that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kiel looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bomba is fending him off so far but Kiel persists. Nope, Bomba circles away and we're back to standing.
No luck for Bomba with that takedown attempt.

Bomba fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Kiel sprawls well initially but Bomba persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Bomba connects with a nice short shot to Kiel's temple.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Bomba lands a nice short elbow.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Bomba counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bomba looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Kiel with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Bomba closes the distance and clinches.
Kiel has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Bomba is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Kiel is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.

Kiel trying to control the position but instead, Bomba has worked for underhooks and has pushed Kiel into the cage.

Bomba's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Bomba shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kiel as he avoids it easily.

and Bomba counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kiel won't be happy with that.
Kapitan Bomba has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Kiel.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Bomba has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kiel's face.
Bomba can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kiel is looking to escape.
Kiel is bucking up trying to escape but Bomba cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Bomba has isolated one of Kiel's arms. Kiel looking to fight him off but Bomba twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
