Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are George Francis, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.

Shelby blocks a jab.
De Santos throws a looping overhand right but Shelby ducks down to avoid it.
De Santos fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Shelby avoids it really well and circles away.
De Santos moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
De Santos has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

and De Santos counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Shelby is looking to stand back up but De Santos counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Shelby .

Shelby lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
De Santos fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shelby manages to avoid it.
Shelby misses with a head kick.

Shelby throws a quick counter head kick but De Santos was just out of range.
De Santos's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Shelby connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! De Santos scrambles back to his feet.
Shelby throws an uppercut from half a mile away. De Santos sees it coming and avoids it easily.

It looked like Shelby was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

De Santos has the hooks in. Shelby is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.

Shelby got a little sloppy there for a moment and De Santos has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Shelby has managed to get both his arms back between De Santos's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

De Santos has got one arm under Shelby 's chin. This could be trouble... Shelby trying to control the other hand but De Santos gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Shelby has tapped out! The fight is over!

After winning the bout, Roger De Santos thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
