Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Chubby Funster (ranked 2295 p4p, 2154 weight class) and Garth Wader (ranked 251 p4p, 237 weight class). Funster comes to the cage accompanied by Village People - YMCA. Chubby Funster could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Garth Wader's chin.

Funster missing with a left hand there. Wader was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Wader has Funster up against the cage in a clinch.
Funster tries to work over Wader's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Funster throws a head punch that misses.

Funster pulls guard successfully.
Wader wants to get up but he can't break Funster's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.
Wader must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Funster is looking for a triangle but Wader pushes his legs off easily.

Funster is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wader decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Funster throws a lazy right hand but Wader sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Wader throws a hook to the side of Funster's head but Funster sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
A little feinted left hand from Funster on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

Wader fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Funster, pushing him back against the cage.

I was talking to Funster's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Funster struggles to land a body shot inside as Wader controls his hands.

Wader swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Funster jumps guard but Wader stands there with Funster around his waist. Funster gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Funster gets control of Wader's arms and successfully pulls guard. Funster will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Funster escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wader gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Funster has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Wader should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Funster has tightened it up now! Wader should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
