Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between El Matador (ranked 16520 p4p, 23129 weight class) and Pauly Just Training (ranked 298 p4p, 288 weight class). El Matador has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, El Matador!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pauly Just Training!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.

Matador looks to land a combination but Just Training avoids it well.

Just Training dives in and scores a takedown into Matador's guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Just Training makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Matador looking for a sweep. Not yet Matador, not yet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Matador is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Just Training is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Matador is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Just Training lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Just Training working his ground and pound in the gym.
Just Training lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Just Training is looking to work some ground and pound but Matador has wrist control.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Matador holds on and takes a little breather.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Matador is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Just Training is defending well for now.

Matador moves in looking to clinch but Just Training pushes him off.
Just Training tries to score a power double leg takedown but Matador sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Just Training somewhat.
Matador throws a big counter combination but Just Training scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Matador keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Matador is looking to clinch but Just Training is avoiding it.
No joy there for Matador, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Matador is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Just Training connects with a nice short shot to Matador's temple.

Just Training has control of Matador's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Matador regains control of the situation pretty easily.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Just Training fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Matador sprawls well initially but Just Training persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Just Training is nestled in close to Matador, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Just Training stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Just Training has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
