PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Dekker (ranked 7250 p4p, 4192 weight class) and Guy Jee (ranked 665 p4p, 502 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Lucas Dekker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Jee has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Lucas Dekker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jee will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Jee lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Dekker is looking to control Jee's arms but Jee gets an underhook and turns him. Now Dekker has his back to the cage.
The referee is keeping an eye on Jee - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Dekker takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Jee must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
