The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jakubcak tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Nut paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Jakubcak shoots in looking for a takedown. Nut tries to sprawl out of it but Jakubcak keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Nut manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Nut rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Jakubcak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jakubcak wants to clinch
and Nut counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Alex Jakubcak has been cut.

Jakubcak shoots in but no luck this time.
