Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Buster Bidwell (ranked 3787 p4p, 448 weight class) and Marcus Aurelios (ranked 3757 p4p, 442 weight class). Marcus Aurelios has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aurelios staying out of range there.
A combination from Bidwell does no damage.
Aurelios shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bidwell but Bidwell pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Aurelios shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bidwell manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Bidwell is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bidwell, as that shot connected.

Aurelios throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Bidwell's waist but Bidwell gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aurelios off to one side.

Bidwell will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Aurelios changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Bidwell tries to avoid it but Aurelios manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Bidwell to the ground. Bidwell escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Bidwell has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Aurelios is working away from the top position though.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Aurelios connects with a nice short shot to Bidwell's temple.

As Aurelios looks to move away, Bidwell throws a big counter combo but Aurelios just gets out of the way.

Bidwell stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Aurelios fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Bidwell to the ground. Aurelios is now in Bidwell's guard.

Aurelios is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Bidwell doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Aurelios.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Bidwell, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
