Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sergey Makarov (ranked 1670 p4p, 191 weight class) and King Kong (ranked 1485 p4p, 174 weight class). Kong comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Moviendo las Caderas kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! King Kong is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sergey Makarov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, King Kong!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Frank Dennis.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makarov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kong's waist but Kong gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Makarov off to one side.
Kong throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Makarov dives in for a single leg takedown but Kong sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
A nice side step and Kong releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Makarov moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Kong walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Kong connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Makarov lands with an uppercut that bounces Kong off the cage and back into range.
Kong wants to clinch up but Makarov keeps it at a distance.
Nice body kick from Kong.
Nice shot lands for Makarov.
Makarov cracks a nice hook into Kong's ribs.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
The fight stays on the outside here - Kong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Makarov fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Kong manages to avoid it.
Kong is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Makarov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Kong on his heels. He'll look to pass Kong's guard now, I'm sure.

Kong has momentary wrist control but Makarov slips an elbow through the middle.
Kong told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.

Makarov jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Kong manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Kong really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Makarov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Makarov lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.

Makarov is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Kong can do to turn this around?
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Makarov cracks Kong with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Makarov immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Kong is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Makarov!
