Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Amadou Poussin (ranked 2870 p4p, 146 weight class) and Curtis Jackson (ranked 1857 p4p, 109 weight class). Jackson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bobby Shmurda - Hot N*gga. Curtis Jackson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curtis Jackson!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Poussin moves into the clinch.
Jackson tries to throw a body punch but Poussin avoids it by throwing Jackson back against the cage.
Jackson tries to circle away but Poussin has him pinned against the cage.
Poussin lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Jackson.

No joy there for Jackson, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Amadou Poussin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Poussin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Jackson eats them both and turns towards Poussin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.


It looks like Curtis Jackson has been cut.

I was talking to Poussin's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Jackson is trying to push Poussin away but Poussin has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.

Poussin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jackson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson tries to roll but Poussin sticks to his back.

Poussin seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Jackson for as long as he can get away with.
