The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viv avoids the body shot from O Malley.
O Malley throws a lazy right hand but Viv sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
O Malley tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Viv looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Viv bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
O Malley throws a sloppy head kick and Viv moves out of range easily.
Viv tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
O Malley lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.
Viv shoots in looking for a takedown but O Malley manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Viv's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
O Malley misses with an uppercut. Viv saw that one coming.
O Malley lands an overhand right.
O Malley lands a leg kick that knocks Viv off balance momentarily.
A head kick by O Malley misses

and Viv counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

O Malley has his foot on Viv's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Viv works his way back into a safe position though.
O Malley looking to hit a scissor sweep but Viv is one step ahead there.
O Malley preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Viv sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but O Malley is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
O Malley manages to work his way to half guard, despite Viv's best efforts.
O Malley tries to get to full guard but Viv has control of the leg.
O Malley keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Viv is trying to control the action in half guard but O Malley is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Viv in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. O Malley tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Viv!
