Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Batang Kock (ranked 2815 p4p, 289 weight class) and Ryo Hazuki (ranked 6383 p4p, 492 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Batang Kock!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ryo Hazuki!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, Phil Schofield and William Gold.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kock getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Kock stuffs the takedown attempt from Hazuki. Hazuki gets slowly back to his feet.
Kock is looking to counter punch.
Hazuki shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Kock as he avoids it easily.
Kock feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Hazuki walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Hazuki fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Batang Kock has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryo Hazuki.

Hazuki closes the distance and clinches.
Hazuki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kock smiles and moves away.
Kock misses with a body shot.
Hazuki takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hazuki dodges the punch combination from Kock.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kock gets tackled into the cage by Hazuki. Hazuki maintains the clinch.
Hazuki is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kock to keep the fight standing.
Hazuki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kock walks away with a smile on his face. Hazuki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kock is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.

Hazuki pushes Kock up against the cage in a clinch.
A bit of stalling here from Kock.
Hazuki tries to pull guard but Kock won't allow it.
A shot in the inside from Kock.
Kock lands a hook that snaps the head of Hazuki backwards.

Hazuki jumps guard.
We've been hearing that Kock has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Kock throws an elbow that misses. Hazuki uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Kock's guard. Nice move by Hazuki!

Kock seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Hazuki advances to half guard.
Kock is trying to maintain the position but Hazuki is very close to passing his half guard.

Kock is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hazuki is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Hazuki gets a takedown into half guard.
Kock is trying to escape back to his feet but Hazuki uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Hazuki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kock is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Kock managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hazuki.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kock tries to buck Hazuki off but Hazuki is having none of it.
Hazuki postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Kock is looking for a sweep.
Hazuki wants to control but Kock is keeping him busy.
Hazuki has knee on belly and moves into mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ryo Hazuki will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Batang Kock seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hazuki closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Kock wants to control the action here but instead Hazuki manages to pass to full mount!

Hazuki tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Kock is squirming around, avoiding Hazuki's attempts to control the action.

Hazuki lands a big elbow.
Hazuki has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Kock's face.
Hazuki throws some wild stikes that Kock manages to avoid easily.
Hazuki breaks from Kock's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Hazuki controlling the pace for now.
Hazuki lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hazuki trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Hazuki stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
Kock is looking to slow Hazuki down with leg kicks.
Kock throws a big shot that misses.
A little jabbing left from Hazuki on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Hazuki has Kock up against the cage in a clinch.
Hazuki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Kock creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Kock lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Hazuki is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

Hazuki feints the counter takedown.
Hazuki walks forward, straight into a front kick from Kock.
Kock connects with a body shot.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Kock lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Hazuki circles away quickly and effectively.

Kock stuffs the takedown attempt from Hazuki. Hazuki gets slowly back to his feet.
Hazuki throws a body punch but Kock moves out of range.
Kock just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck for Hazuki with that takedown attempt.
Kock throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hazuki.
Kock throws a series of punches but Hazuki avoids them all with ease.

Hazuki moves into the clinch.

Hazuki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kock walks away with a smile on his face. Hazuki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Kock leaves Hazuki with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
It looked like Kock was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
No luck for Hazuki with that takedown attempt.
Hazuki misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
A low kick lands for Kock.

Kock rushes Hazuki and presses him up against the cage.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Kock looking to stall.
Hazuki is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kock is defending well.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Kock lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kock softening up his opponent with strikes, against the cage.
Hazuki tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kock smiles and moves away.
Hazuki throws out a loose jab but Kock uses good head movement to avoid it.
Hazuki shoots and misses
and Kock counters with a big head kick but Hazuki shrugs it off.


Hazuki is rocked!
Kock dances in with a quick combination. Hazuki is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Kock snaps Hazuki's head back. Hazuki stumbles backwards against the cage. Kock steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Hazuki's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Hazuki just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 3, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Batang Kock!
