The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Makhacevov fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Fu connects with a leg kick. Makhacevov looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Makhacevov shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Fu defends it nicely.

Fu has closed the distance and engaged Makhacevov in a clinch.
Makhacevov drops down looking for an ankle pick but Fu pulls his leg out and moves away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Islam Makhacevov. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Fu throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Makhacevov throws a big counter combination but Fu scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.

Makhacevov drops down looking for a counter takedown but Fu sprawls and moves away.

Makhacevov shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fu feints a jab and as Makhacevov dips his head, Fu unleashes a brutal head kick that catches Makhacevov right on the jaw! Timbeeer! Makhacevov falls backwards in slow motion, only propped up by the cage! Fu smiles a psychotic smile as he stares down his unconscious opponent. That is a scary man.
