Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Andrew Ewels (ranked 4201 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Exotic (ranked 4289 p4p, 0 weight class). Joe Exotic will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ewels.
Despite the aggression on Exotic's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Ewels throws a head kick that misses.
Exotic tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ewels paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Exotic looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Ewels changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Exotic looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Ewels tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Ewels has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Ewels prevents Exotic from escaping the position.
Exotic tries to buck Ewels off but Ewels is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ewels is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Exotic is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Exotic sneaks back into half guard.
Ewels has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Exotic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ewels. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ewels looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Exotic sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.

Exotic is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Ewels has latched onto it... Big trouble! Ewels pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Exotic is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Ewels!
