Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lorenzo Alcortuno!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Steven Brown and Colin Fotheringham.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcortuno misses with a takedown attempt

and Marshall counters by clinching up.
Marshall keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Alcortuno's efforts to push away.
Marshall putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Alcortuno in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body.
Marshall lands a nice knee to the body.
Alcortuno tries to break free but Marshall pushes him back against the cage.

Marshall has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Alcortuno regains guard immediately.
Alcortuno trying to keep a closed guard but Marshall is proving a slippery customer.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Alcortuno is on top in guard.

Marshall looking for a guillotine here but Alcortuno defends easily.
Marshall on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Marshall tries to get out of the position.
Alcortuno landing some decent shots from guard.

Marshall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alcortuno defends it easily.
Alcortuno passes into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Alcortuno wants to take a breather but Marshall is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Marshall knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Alcortuno on the ground.

Alcortuno is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Marshall sees it coming and defends easily.

Alcortuno looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Alcortuno throwing shots but Marshall is blocking nicely.
Marshall is concentrating on defense, preventing Alcortuno from advancing position.
Alcortuno looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Marshall with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Alcortuno is trying to control. Marshall wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Marshall tries to roll over but Alcortuno keeps him under control.

Marshall is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Alcortuno has latched onto it... Big trouble! Alcortuno pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Marshall is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Alcortuno!
