Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Shamus Murphy (ranked 1489 p4p, 185 weight class) and Ikeda Toshiyuki (ranked 1530 p4p, 188 weight class). This should be fireworks!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

I was talking to Murphy's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Toshiyuki has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Murphy is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Murphy creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Toshiyuki's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Toshiyuki drops to his knees and Murphy pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!
