The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slavoski throws a shot from downtown. Pounder moves away and avoids it.

Slavoski cracks Pounder with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Slavoski has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Pounder to stand back up!

It looks like BillyBob Pounder has been cut.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Pounder, right into the meat.

Pounder looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Pounder prevents Slavoski from standing back up.
Pounder is taking a breather. Slavoski says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Pounder works his way into full mount!
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
Slavoski is really trying hard to get back to his feet.

Pounder won't let Slavoski get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Pounder cracks Slavoski with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
