Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kung Lao (ranked 5179 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lovis Ottar (ranked 5241 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kung Lao!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Lovis Ottar!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Shirou Masuda and Sosuke Kotani.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lao gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Lao breaks the clinch.

Lao gets the takedown into side control.
Ottar managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Lao.
Lao controls the position.
Ottar can't do much from the bottom here.
Ottar is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Ottar taking a bit of punishment here - Lao scoring with strikes.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Lao fails to land a wild elbow strike.

Lao looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Lao wants to lay and pray for a moment but Ottar keeps working.

An elbow from Lao crashes against the mat.
Lao in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Lao lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Ottar down.
Lao passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Ottar!
Lao trying to control but Ottar is having none of it.
Ottar tries to hold on but Lao pushes him away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ottar is squirming around, avoiding Lao's attempts to control the action.

Ottar tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Lao throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Ottar is bucking up trying to escape but Lao cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Ottar wants to hold on but Lao pushes him away.
Lao throws an elbow from mount that misses. Lucky escape for Ottar because Lao loaded up on that one.
Lao landing strikes from the mount and Ottar is in trouble!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ottar sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Ottar wants to control but Lao is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Ottar tries to get to full guard but Lao has control of the leg.
Lao is pressing down on Ottar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ottar is holding on for now.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ottar is not content to let Lao control the position.
Lao keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Ottar wants to get back to full guard.
Lao content to control rather than advance.

Lao is pressing down on Ottar's thigh, looking to free his foot. Ottar is holding on for now.
Lao is trying to control. Ottar wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Lao thows a huge punch but Ottar dodges it nicely.
Ottar is staying active underneath Lao, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Lao seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Ottar wants to get back to full guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Ottar defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Lao.
Ottar tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.

Lao has gone for a leg lock! Ottar slips out almost immediately though and dives into Lao's guard.

Lao bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ottar's guard.

Lao stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Ottar swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lao is fighting to break Ottar's control of his arms but Ottar is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Lao is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ottar can do to turn this around?

Ottar shoots in for a double leg but Lao sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kung Lao has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lovis Ottar.

Ottar is pushing down on Lao's leg trying to pass to half guard. Lao is fighting to maintain full guard but Ottar has managed to sneak the leg through.

Lao looking to hit a scissor sweep but Ottar is one step ahead there.

Ottar tries to counter with a clinch but Lao shakes him off and moves away.

Ottar stands up over Lao, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Lovis Ottar comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Lao has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
