And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 1, fighting out of London, Joao Sousa!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Lou da Vinci and John Kavanagh.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Majere.
Majere throws a nice outside leg kick.
A head kick misses from Majere.
And Sousa tries to counter it with a takedown but Majere pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Sousa tries to keep at a distance but Majere has taken the fight into the clinch.
Sousa misses with some punches.
Majere blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Majere tries to pull guard but Sousa forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Majere jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sousa walks away with a smile on his face. Majere gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Majere is looking to chop away at Sousa's legs.

Majere darts in and clinches Sousa up against the cage.

Sousa pulls guard successfully.
Majere throwing strikes from guard but Sousa blocks nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sousa is looking for a triangle but Majere pushes his legs off easily.
Sousa keeping full guard, as Majere tries to pass.

Sousa pushes a forearm under Majere's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Majere is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

A less than humble Joao Sousa misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
