Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sticky Face (ranked 4991 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny Hitachi (ranked 5256 p4p, 150 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hitachi tries to grapple but his opponent circles

and Face counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Hitachi slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Face stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hitachi swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Hitachi has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Face seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hitachi escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Face gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Hitachi is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Face defends well.

Face is looking to take a break and control but Hitachi is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Sonny Hitachi showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

Hitachi connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Face momentarily.

Hitachi lands a left and a right that send Face crashing to the mat, dazed. Hitachi thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

It looks like Sticky Face has been cut.
Hitachi has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Face enables Hitachi to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Face manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Face seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Face is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Hitachi sees it coming and defends easily.

Face looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Well Hitachi has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
