PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cedric De Boise (ranked 7247 p4p, 171 weight class) and Raimundo Forza (ranked 5415 p4p, 132 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think De Boise might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Do Your Thing. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Forza shoots in for a takedown but De Boise shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
De Boise seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.

De Boise closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Forza did well to prevent De Boise getting side control.

De Boise is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

De Boise is trying to work for a kimura but Forza is defending well.

Forza is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but De Boise pulls his head out easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

De Boise is looking for a kimura but Forza is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for De Boise to get the leverage.

De Boise is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Forza doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time De Boise.
Forza has a hand on De Boise's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. De Boise takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

De Boise with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

De Boise tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Forza really doesn't want to stay on the ground with De Boise. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

De Boise is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Forza knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Forza for a finish.
