Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Rogerio De Souza (ranked 851 p4p, 109 weight class) and Wacco Longbardo (ranked 1419 p4p, 184 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Longbardo rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but De Souza moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

De Souza gets tackled into the cage by Longbardo. Longbardo maintains the clinch.
Longbardo utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body.
A short body shot lands from De Souza as the two fighters clinch.

De Souza breaks the clinch.
De Souza fails with a takedown attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Longbardo, right into the meat.
De Souza keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Longbardo is looking to clinch but De Souza is avoiding it.
De Souza drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Longbardo lands with an uppercut that bounces De Souza off the cage and back into range.
De Souza just misses with a punch to the body.
Longbardo lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Longbardo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. De Souza manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Longbardo tries a knee to the head but De Souza blocks it.
De Souza slows down the pace here.

De Souza jumps into guard, dragging Longbardo to the mat.
Longbardo keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of De Souza's head.
De Souza tries to strike from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
