Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brady Wynne (ranked 4397 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ratrick Obeh (ranked 4627 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ratrick Obeh!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Anthony Taglia and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wynne defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Obeh.
Wynne tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Obeh swivels and escapes.

Wynne shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Obeh has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Wynne is on him like a limpet, forcing Obeh back against the cage.

Obeh drags the fight down to the ground.

Obeh looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Obeh has his hands on Wynne's head, controlling the position.

Wynne got a little sloppy there for a moment and Obeh has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Wynne has managed to get both his arms back between Obeh's legs - danger averted.

Obeh looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wynne is one step ahead there.

Obeh seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Wynne won't allow Obeh to sweep him here.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Wynne landing with the ground and pound.
Wynne trying to control the position from guard on top but Obeh is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Obeh wants to control the position but Wynne says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Wynne shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Obeh is trying to defend but Wynne finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Obeh kicks off Wynne and gets to his feet.

Wynne closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Obeh quickly recovers to half guard.

Obeh has one foot on Wynne's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Obeh now looks to counter with a shot at the body.

Obeh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Wynne can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Obeh is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Wynne leaves Obeh with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Obeh fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Wynne has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Obeh stuffs the takedown attempt from Wynne. Wynne gets slowly back to his feet.

Obeh closes the distance and clinches.

Obeh pulls Wynne into guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Obeh is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wynne is looking to work some ground and pound but Obeh has wrist control.

Obeh is adopting a defensive guard.
Wynne will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wynne stands up from guard. Let's bang!

Wynne fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

Obeh looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Wynne is fending him off so far but Obeh persists. Nope, Wynne circles away and we're back to standing.
It looked like Wynne wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Wynne takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Wynne misses with a takedown attempt - Obeh sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Wynne is defended easily by Obeh.
Obeh shoots in for a double leg but Wynne sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wynne instigates a clinch.
Obeh leaning his opponent against the cage.
Wynne has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Obeh is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Obeh manages to break the clinch.

Wynne stuffs the takedown attempt from Obeh. Obeh gets slowly back to his feet.
Obeh feints a jab promting Wynne to slip. Obeh then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Wynne slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Wynne wants to clinch up but Obeh keeps it at a distance.
Obeh swats away the attempt to clinch by Wynne.
Obeh drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Wynne defends it well.

Obeh closes the distance and clinches up with Wynne, looking for a takedown. Obeh pushes Wynne against the cage but Wynne circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Wynne closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Obeh's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wynne slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Ratrick Obeh showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Wynne tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Obeh defends well and Wynne ends up having to push Obeh into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
A little jabbing left from Obeh on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Obeh shoots in looking for a takedown but Wynne manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Obeh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Wynne tries to keep at a distance but Obeh has taken the fight into the clinch.

Obeh breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Wynne is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Ratrick Obeh seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Well Obeh has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
