The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to chop away at Heimo's legs.
Heimo tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Silva throws a head kick but Heimo moves out of range.

No joy there for Heimo, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Heimo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Silva's calf.
Heimo clobbers Silva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Silva throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Silva takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Silva moves into the clinch.

Heimo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Heimo checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Heimo checks the leg kick nicely there.
Heimo lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Silva doesn't manage to clinch there - Heimo circles away.
Heimo pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Silva back to the ropes. Heimo follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Silva cracks Heimo with a good jab.

Heimo is rocked!
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Silva circles away before darting back in with a big straight right hand. It connects beautifully and sends Heimo tumbling to the canvas! He's out cold! Silva wins by KO!

Arnaldo Silva decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
