Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holmes throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Jackson 's waist but Jackson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Holmes off to one side.
Jackson went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.

Holmes closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Jackson tries to bench press Holmes off him but Holmes keeps the position.
Jackson takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Jackson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Holmes connects with a decent elbow.
Check out the look on Holmes's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Holmes cracks Jackson with a big right hand but Jackson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Holmes wants to control but Jackson is keeping him busy.
Holmes cracks Jackson with a big right hand but Jackson just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.

A big shot lands for Holmes! That's hurt Jackson ! Will he recover? Holmes fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
