Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Shu Fang Tzeng (ranked 1842 p4p, 99 weight class) and Sergej Tkach (ranked 3692 p4p, 182 weight class). Tzeng comes to the cage accompanied by Mantra Chant. Shu Fang Tzeng had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Shu Fang Tzeng!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Sergej Tkach!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Daniel Bishop and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tzeng fails with an attempt to clinch.
A little jabbing left from Tkach on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Tkach pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Tzeng moves into range and clinches up with Tkach.
Tzeng jumps guard but Tkach stands there with Tzeng around his waist. Tzeng gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Tkach misses with the head strike.
Tzeng jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Tkach walks away with a smile on his face. Tzeng gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Tzeng definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Tkach misses with a right hand
and Tzeng counters with a shoot takedown. Tkach fights it but they end up in guard.
Tzeng works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Tkach is looking to control Tzeng's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Tkach avoid being mounted?
Tzeng is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Tkach defends it well.
Tzeng is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Tkach doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Tzeng.
Tzeng seems to be working for a kimura but Tkach defends the submission attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Tzeng is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Tzeng is looking for a kimura here.
Tkach keeping hold of Tzeng's head, controlling as best he can.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tzeng is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Tzeng is looking for a kimura but Tkach is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Tzeng to get the leverage.
Tkach is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Tzeng pulls his head out easily.
Tkach wants to improve his position but Tzeng is controlling well.
Tzeng is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tkach is just riding it out for now. Tzeng eventually gives up the hold.
Tkach is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Tzeng has latched onto it... Big trouble! Tzeng pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Tkach is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Tzeng!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Shu Fang Tzeng!
