The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Simms counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Simms.
Diaz has a closed guard, preventing Simms from standing up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
