Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Eddie Farnsworth, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Slice misses with a wild combination.
Evans tries for a takedown but Slice sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Evans shoots in but Slice avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Slice fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Evans sprawls well initially but Slice persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Evans wants to improve his position but Slice is controlling well.
Slice works his way into side control.
Slice scores with a couple of short elbows.
Evans is looking for a sweep.
Evans is trying to work for a sweep but Slice has mounted him!
Evans slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.
Slice wants to stand up but Evans is controlling the position.
Evans is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Slice's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Slice's back!

Evans wants to control the position but Slice frees himself and scrambles - Evans manages to regain control in side control.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Slice is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Evans wants to pass to mount but Slice is defending the position.

Evans cracks Slice with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Slice is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Evans goes for an armbar but Slice turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Slice.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Slice stays in close to Evans's body and controls the position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Slice tries to free his leg and advance position but Evans is retaining full guard.
Evans wants to improve his position but instead Slice has moved into half guard.
Evans is looking to get back to full guard here but Slice has managed to pass to side control instead.

Evans shoots for a takedown but Slice saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Evans has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Slice can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Slice stays in close to Evans's body and controls the position.

Evans looking to hit a scissor sweep but Slice is one step ahead there.
Evans is trying to hold Slice in close to prevent damage but Slice has managed to pass into half guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Evans manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Slice blocking the ground and pound.
Slice avoids a series of strikes thrown by Evans.
Slice prevents Evans from taking his back.
Evans goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Slice is on top in guard.
Slice gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Evans clinches but Slice breaks the clinch
and Slice counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Evans blocks a jab.
Slice tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Evans was well out of range. Poor timing from Slice.
A leg kick checked by Evans.
Evans ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Slice looks to land a right hand but Evans moved out of range.
Evans fails with a takedown attempt.
Evans changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Slice tries to avoid it but Evans manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Slice to the ground. Slice escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Jimbo Slice has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tyreke Evans.
Nice defenses there by Evans.
Slice shoots in looking for a takedown. Evans tries to sprawl out of it but Slice keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Evans manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

and Slice counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Slice throws a right and a left that both miss.
Horrible takedown by Evans or perhaps it was just good defense by Slice which made him look bad.

Slice avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Slice keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Slice loads up on a big right hand but Evans slips the punch.
Evans takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Slice misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Evans.

Evans uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Slice.

Evans shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Slice's guard.
