The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Daniels closes this distance looking for a takedown but Youseph circles away.
Youseph shoots and misses

and Daniels counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Youseph moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Daniels throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Youseph works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Youseph is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Daniels is trying to land a reversal but Youseph doesn't like that idea too much. He pushed the legs to the side and dives into side control. He's managed to grab a loose arm triangle.
