The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice leg kick from McNightNight, right into the meat of the thigh.
McNightNight shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Bash but Bash pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Bash shoots for a double leg takedown but McNightNight sprawls well. He's pushed Bash's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
McNightNight shoots in but Bash avoids the takedown attempt easily.
McNightNight looks for a takedown but Bash sprawls well.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bash stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Bash wants it to stay on the feet.
McNightNight closes the distance and clinches up with Bash, looking for a takedown. McNightNight pushes Bash against the cage but Bash circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

McNightNight fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Bash, pushing him back against the cage.
Bash is looking for a takedown up against the cage. McNightNight gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Bash misses with a punch on the inside.
Bash has had enough of the clinch but McNightNight keeps him there for the moment.

McNightNight pulls guard.
McNightNight is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Bash got a little sloppy there for a moment and McNightNight has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Bash has managed to get both his arms back between McNightNight's legs - danger averted.
McNightNight is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

McNightNight looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
McNightNight will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
McNightNight seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Bash does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McNightNight is trying to control the action in half guard but Bash is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
McNightNight uses his free foot to push down on Bash's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Bash.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McNightNight manages to capitalize on a mistake by Bash to take his back!
McNightNight has Bash flattened out and is raining down punches.
Bash is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

McNightNight is working for a rear naked choke. Bash is not defending it well and McNightNight has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Bash refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Bash's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!

Blake has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Blake wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Oh Horton is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Blake drops Horton with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Horton! Blake dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Pedro Gomez (ranked 668 p4p, 1575 weight class) and Joao Miyao (ranked 65 p4p, 134 weight class). Gomez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Hotel California (Spanish Mix). Miyao is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Gomez defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

Gomez is trying to defend against the choke here but Miyao has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Miyao Tightens the hold and Gomez taps out furiously! Miyao displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
